    Fasting on the Day of Ashura- the Saying of the Saint

     ASHURAA DAY & BLESSING OF FASTING – SHAIEKH ABDUL QAADIR JEELAANI

    [May Allaah be pleased with Him]

     

     

     The Famous saint Shaiekh Abdul Qaadir Jeelaani رضي الله عنه

     saying about fasting on the tenth of Muharram on the Day of Ashura. If someone fasts on the day of ‘Ashura’, he will be granted the spiritual reward of ten thousand Angels, and he will also be granted the spiritual reward of ten thousand Martyrs [Shaheed], as well as the spiritual reward of ten thousand pilgrims [Haji’s].
